Our Privacy Policy outlines what Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) we may collect on our website, how we use and safeguard the collected PII, and with whom we may share it.

By using our apps, using our websites, or submitting your personal information to eDOT, you accept our Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to all apps available in the Apple App Store, Google Play and Amazon Appstore as well as any other eDOT websites, processes, forms, or policies.

Information That eDOT/GEM Collects

You can inquire about an opportunity to serve, contact us about general questions, and sign up for our newsletters when you visit/use our websites or apps. If you elect to engage in these completely optional activities, GEM may ask you to provide us with certain PII to perform the service requested. We may ask you for your first and last name, mailing/physical address (including zip code), e-mail address, telephone number, marital status, and other PII.

How We Use This Information

  • to send marketing information about our activities (stories, donation opportunities, news, etc.) if you choose to regularly receive such information. Any GEM subscription is optional and free; you may unsubscribe at any time;
  • to process registration or sign-up to a hosted event or program; and

eDOT/GEM reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement officials in the investigation of alleged unlawful activities committed on or through our websites. eDOT/GEM may disclose PII in the course of officially authorized law enforcement investigations; or as required to comply with a current judicial proceeding, court order, warrant, subpoena or other legal process served on GEM; or to establish or preserve a legal claim or defense. In the event of a suspected attempt to deliberately circumvent our websites’ security, eDOT/GEM may share PII about a suspected intruder with law enforcement officials. eDOT/GEM shall have no legal liability for such disclosures. eDOT/GEM reserves the right to challenge the validity of any subpoena, court order, warrant, or other legal process, in its sole discretion.

We will not sell or market your PII to any third parties. We will not use or transfer PII to third parties for any unrelated purposes—we do not sell, rent, or trade our email lists.

Anonymous Aggregated Information Collection

They consent to transferring personal data to the USA, and waive any claims that may arise under their own national laws. If you do not want your PII transferred to the USA, do not provide it on this website.

When you submit PII to eDOT/GEM, you understand and agree that this personal information may be transferred between eDOT/GEM offices and employees and/or contractors of eDOT/GEM internationally and may be stored and processed in any of the countries which GEM and employees and/or contractors of eDOT/GEM locate in. All transfer, storage and use of your PII shall be subject to and protected by the Privacy Policy. In addition, PII transferred by eDOT/GEM to another country will be handled in accordance with the privacy laws of that country.

Some of our apps require registration to be able to use. Information requested during registration is used to create a better user experience and to help set security policies within the overall user experience.

If you are applying for service as a missionary, we may, at different stages of the application, vetting, interview, and approval process, ask questions about social security number, religious beliefs, criminal conviction background, medical information, or other information pertaining to qualification for working at a religious institution.
