Intern Corner: Eric’s Experience

As his time in Europe comes to a close, Eric shares some of his experience here in Germany. We are grateful for his contributions to the team and in aiding the sharing of the Gospel in Europe.

“I have been working with eDOT in Kandern, Germany for about 1.5 months now, and wanted to reflect on a few experiences and things I have learned while being here! I would like to start off by saying that coming to Germany was an excellent decision. I trusted in the Lord, and He did not let me down. From my living situation, to my work environment, to my weekend activities, everything has been an excellent experience!

On weekends, I have been able to take Germany’s super convenient train system all over Southern Germany to meet family and friends that I have in the area. I have been to Constance, Munich, Essen and Baden Baden, and I will be going to Rome next weekend. During the week I have been working on the rebuilding of the C2C Story App, which is now complete and in the testing phase. I have learned so much about the App development process and the Ionic 2 framework, which I would not have been able to do had I not come and worked with eDOT.

A few weeks ago, our team attended the ICCM Europe conference in the Netherlands. This was a good opportunity to see how God is using tech to further His Kingdom in Europe. I met a lot of interesting people with similar interests as me, and I was able to see some of Holland’s beautiful countryside.

Unfortunately, my missions trip is almost over – as I will be heading back to Canada at the beginning of March. I will always fondly remember my time here in Germany, and most importantly, that I trusted in the Lord and He did not let me down! I am so thankful to my prayer support network who I could feel was praying for me and keeping me safe. God Bless!”
